Industrial developments in present world, has caused a vital global concern particularly about environment and water sources Hence, the use of polymeric membranes in different separation and purification processes has been paid attention by the world Therefore, fabricating membranes having high separation performance and efficiency is an important task Employing suitable additives in the membrane matrix is one of the approaches to enhance the membrane performance In this study, the starch based method of synthesizing Janus graphene oxide JGO nanosheets was reviewed in details as well as considering the review of several important evaluations such as scanning electron microscopy SEM , Fourier transform infrared spectrometer FTIR , water contact angle WCA measurement, transmission electron microscopy Energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy TEM EDS mapping and Raman spectrum The results have shown that the environment friendly starch based method is able to be effectively employed in order to synthesize JGO nanosheets
