چکیده مقاله
In this study, we develop a new device containing a series of thermosyphons for applying on a heat exchanger tube The device is aimed to improve the convection rate of the used test tube under turbulent Different numbers n=1 6 of the manufactured mini size thermosyphons are soldered around a base ring to create the presented device A hot stream with turbulent regime passes through the tube which is inserted into a big cold tank A validation process is performed using the Nusselt number of the fully developed turbulent inside the test tube The thermosyphons are partially filled X=30% with ethanol as their working fluid The role of the sticks numbers n on the performance of the device is investigated in details The results reveal the notable enhancement in the Nusselt number The presented device causes an enhancement up to 25% in the aimed convection rate It is also found increase of sticks number increase the device’s performance
