چکیده مقاله
In this study, the effect of adding glass fibers and polypropylene fibers with different lengths and volume fractions on the tensile strength and durability of roller compacted concrete RCC was investigated The fiber reinforced specimens showed that the simultaneous or separate use of these fibers can improve the tensile strength of concrete and prevent cracking caused by shrinkage and tensile stresses Experimental results indicated that fiber length and content play a significant role in mechanical performance, such that longer fibers and appropriate fiber percentages lead to better stress transfer, increased ductility, and improved crack control The compressive strength of concrete was also slightly improved by the addition of glass and polypropylene fibers; however, excessive fiber content resulted in a slight reduction in compressive strength due to improper dispersion and increased local porosity Moreover, the presence of fibers enhanced the durability of concrete, increasing energy absorption capacity and extending the service life of the structure The results of this study demonstrate that selecting the appropriate type, length, and content of glass and polypropylene fibers can be an effective approach to improving the tensile strength, durability, and overall performance of roller compacted concrete
