Sustainable development is a new multifaceted theory that has entered various fields and the maritime transportation industry has not been left behind by its influence Sustainable development in the maritime transportation industry has become known as the Blue Economy , which is not only limited to the economic dimension of sustainable development, but also has significant local, regional, and global effects on the environmental and social dimensions Maritime transportation has advantages and disadvantages compared to other Modes of transportation, which, while distinguishing it from other Modes of transportation, provide unique conditions for movement in Water corridors In this article, the strengths of maritime transportation are analyzed and investigated to transform the multimodal transportation network into an efficient and sustainable network within the framework of sustainable development programs
