This study aims to evaluate the key factors influencing environmental risk management in sustainable tourism using the Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP method Environmental risks in tourism have become a critical concern due to the increasing pressure on natural resources and the growing demand for sustainable practices The research identifies ten primary factors: Commercialization, Tourist Awareness, Regulatory Framework, Disaster Response Capabilities, Climate Change Impact, Stakeholder Engagement, Training and Professionalism, Technology Adoption, Sustainable Practices, and Community Participation The methodology involved constructing a hierarchical model, conducting pairwise comparisons among the identified factors, and calculating their relative weights Data were collected from experts in tourism and environmental management to ensure the validity of the analysis The findings reveal that Commercialization is the most influential factor, highlighting the need for balanced strategies that integrate economic growth with environmental protection Regulatory Framework and Tourist Awareness were also ranked highly, emphasizing the importance of legal structures and education in mitigating environmental risks Other factors, such as Disaster Response Capabilities and Climate Change Impact, underscore the growing need for resilience and adaptive strategies in tourism planning This research demonstrates the effectiveness of the AHP method in prioritizing complex, multidimensional issues in sustainable tourism It advocates for a holistic approach that considers environmental, sociocultural, political, and economic dimensions By focusing on the most impactful factors, stakeholders can develop targeted policies and practices to address environmental challenges effectively, contributing to a more sustainable tourism industry The study provides a practical framework for policymakers and practitioners to enhance environmental risk management and achieve long term sustainability in the tourism sector
