چکیده مقاله
This study investigates the potential application of produced water PW recycling within the oil and gas industry, emphasizing its entanglement with sustainable resource management and ecotourism development As global demand for freshwater grows, the effective reuse of PW emerges as a practical solution to mitigate water scarcity, particularly in arid regions Through a comprehensive analysis of various case studies, including the utilization of PW for agricultural irrigation and aquaculture, we demonstrate that treated PW can significantly enhance crop yield and support local economies Notably, findings from research conducted in South Kuwait reveal that reusing PW for enhanced oil recovery can reduce freshwater consumption by up to 42% Furthermore, our exploration into the intersection of PW recycling and ecotourism highlights how these practices can foster environmental preservation while promoting economic growth This study promotes creative ways to PW management that not only solves current water issues but also opens up new opportunities for community involvement and sustainable tourism growth by embracing a circular economy CE concept The findings highlight how crucial it is to incorporate PW recycling into more comprehensive environmental initiatives in order to improve socioeconomic resilience
