چکیده مقاله
A finite element FE modelling of the welding process is conducted to calculate welding residual stresses in butt welded plates The model was validated by comparing its predictions with experimental results presented in the scientific literature Parametric studies were also carried out to assess the effects of heat input and travelling speed on welding residual stresses Based on these studies, a simplified modelling procedure of reasonable accuracy was proposed
