چکیده مقاله
In this study, the effect of aluminum layer thickness increase on the mechanical properties of aluminum magnesium bilayer sheet is experimentally investigated As the magnesium alloy AZ31B has less ductility than aluminum 1050, increasing the thickness of the aluminum layer has been suggested as a solution Various methods are used to bond aluminum to magnesium In this study, the roll bonding process is used to create these composite sheets For proper mechanical and metallurgical bonding, sheets were rolled at a reduction ratio of 40% The results show that as the thickness of the aluminum layer increases, the final strength and percent of elongation increase significantly Also, the fractured cross section fractography shows that as the thickness of the aluminum layer increases, the brittle fracture mode in the magnesium layer of a composite with thinner aluminum layer is changed to the hybrid mode of ductile and brittle fracture in a composite with thicker aluminum layer
