چکیده مقاله
Cheap and fast sampling of parts production procedures with high reliability and usability in industries has been an important problem of the past decade Using 3D printers is one of the best solutions to this problem One of the downsides of this method is the poor surface finish of the produced parts Layered production the nature of additive manufacturing using 3D printers Therefore, the manufactured parts have unavoidable graduated surfaces Turning and grinding are the best solutions for achieving proper surface finishing of metal parts, but for polymer parts such as Polylactic acid PLA , the mentioned solutions have some difficulties This study seeks to assess the effect of two important turning variables on the quality of the surface of manufactured PLA parts using Fused deposition modeling processes in additive manufacturing, namely tool’s fillet radius and the lead angle The results indicate that manufacturing quality has covariation with the fillet radius of the tool, but the lead angle does not have any covariation with surface roughness
