چکیده مقاله
Petroleum based cutting fluids such as z1 oil have many environmental hazards and cause skin irritation, respiratory diseases and cancer of workers The use of vegetable oilbased metalworking fluid to maintain the health of the operator and prevent environmental damage is a good idea In this study, castor, sesame and sunflower oils as the most suitable oils for cutting fluid have been studiede xperimentally ST37 steel turning tests were designed with a full factorial method to evaluate the technical feasibility of these oils as lubricants in the cutting fluid In designing the experiments, oil type, rotational speed, depth of cut and feed rate were selected as input parameters The amount ofcutting force as output variables was considered to compare the performance of vegetable base oils The results of force measurement experiments showed that the main effect of all input parameters and the interaction of all parameters except the effect of oil type depth of cut were significantly meaningful at the level of 1% Also, in the case of using vegetable oils, the average cutting force was lower than Z1 industrial oil, which shows the excellent potential of vegetable oils to replace them in petroleum based cutting fluids The average cutting force was the lowest in castor and sesame oils, respectively
