چکیده مقاله
In spite of all the applied methods in determining scouring depth around piers, the most utilized models for this purpose are the empirical ones Therefore, the accuracy of empirical equation in used plays the key role in estimation of scouring depth In this paper, a new empirical model was proposed using a new hybrid method to estimate the scour depth of the piers based on various reliable field data The performance of the proposed model was compared with the most common ones available in literature According to the result of the conducted comparison, it was concluded that the new model achieves more precise results comparing with five other conventional and practical present models
