چکیده مقاله
Corrosion protection mechanisms in stainless steel are closely related to the passive layer, and in fact stainless steels owe their corrosion resistance to the thin passive layer on the surface The passive layer creates a physical barrier between the steel and the corrosive environment and has a thickness of 20 to 30 angstroms of hydrated chromium oxide, which is highly viscous and resistant to chemical attacks
