To investigate the microstructural and mechanical properties of Fe 24Ni 4Cr austeniticsteel after the application of the FSW process, a sample of this steel was subjected to thisprocess In this project, a traverse speed of 100 mm/min and a tool rotation speed of 450rpm were considered The examination of the microstructure of different regions usingElectron Backscatter Diffraction EBSD demonstrated that the grain boundaries in thestir zone have become finer due to continuous dynamic recrystallization The analysis ofmechanical properties using tensile testing showed that the yield strength increased from145 MPa to 388 MPa, and the ultimate strength in the stir zone increased from 350 MPato 450 MPa Furthermore, hardness examination using a Vickers hardness tester revealedan increase in hardness in the stir zone compared to the base metal
