چکیده مقاله
Industrial computed tomography CT , also known as industrial CT scanning, is now utilized as a portable method for evaluating corrosion, blockages, and other defects in oil and gas pipelines The output images of this technique provide cross sectional views of the interior of pipelines As with any other non destructive imaging method, assessing image quality is essential In reconstructed CT images, the Modulation Transfer Function MTF serves as a measure of spatial resolution and image clarity In this study, dual energy linear detectors were employed to acquire projections of a standard aluminum cylinder with a diameter of 2 5 cm Subsequently, image reconstruction was performed using the filtered back projection method, yielding cross sectional images of the cylinder By analyzing the edge spread function ESF and performing mathematical operations on the measured values, the imaging system's MTF at 20% contrast was determined to be 1 2 This research highlights the importance of MTF as a quantitative metric for evaluating the performance of industrial tomography systems and contributes to the optimization of imaging techniques for critical pipeline inspections
