چکیده مقاله
In this research, an attempt has been made to weld 2 mm thick 5052 aluminum sheet and pure copper sheet using the friction stir welding method with a butt joint design The changes in the microstructure and mechanical properties of the joint at different forwarding speeds of 27 mm/min, 32 mm/min, and 41 mm/min were investigated at the rotation speed constant of 700 rpm The results of the uniaxial tensile test and optical microscope imaging showed that with increasing the forwarding speed, the ultimate tensile strength of the joint increased, and the microstructure of the copper side became finer Therefore, the highest ultimate tensile strength at a forwarding speed of 41 mm/min was obtained which reached 151 MPa Moreover, the microhardness results depicted that with increasing the forwarding speed, the hardness of the weld zone increases, and this reached 96 H when the forwarding speed is 41 mm/min
