The anodizing process, one of the electrochemical methods of surface treatment, was done by keeping anodizing parameters constant except for the time parameter in this investigation It was performed at three different times; 30, 45, and 60 minutes After that, the possibility of laser lap welding, one of the types of welding methods using heat, was investigated on the sample with the largest oxide layer thickness Finally, after many tests, the joint was created through laser welding at the laser power of 1500 watts and the welding speed of 300 mm/s on an anodized 6061 T6 aluminum alloy with dimensions of 18 26 6 mm and an oxide layer thickness of 17 microns, and the anodizing time of 60 minutes
