ABSTRACT In this paper, we study the excitation of the localized surface Plasmon through the compound plasmonic – dielectric structure made of a cylinder gold nano particle placed on the silicon dielectric substrate The results of the FDTD simulations represent the excitation of the surface Plasmon in the interface between metal and semiconductor material The confined local Plasmon polariton can be open the door for different applications and study issues including data storage, nonlinear optics, electromagnetic field storage and etc
