In this paper, a modified kinematically admissible velocity field for flat ring rolling process has been derived This new formulation was used to predict the upper bound on power In order to verify the theoretical results, an experimental rolling rig was equipped in the School of Mechanical Engineering at University of Tehran Moreover, FEM simulations were also conducted in order to validate the developed models Comparison of the present upper bound results with experimental study, finite element simulation and our previous slab analysis, showed good agreement and hence demonstrated the capabilities of the new formulation presented here
