چکیده مقاله
Scaffolds are widely used in tissue engineering for repairing large bone defects These scaffolds are 3D porous structures in which act as mechanical support for tissue regeneration An ideal scaffold has to combine several structural and functional properties such as high porosity and surface area to guarantee nutrient supply, structural strength to support external loading Conventional techniques for production of scaffolds are encountered many limitation such as low porosity and un controlled pore size Additive Manufacturing AM processes are now considered a viable alternative to fabricate scaffolds for tissue engineering The main advantages of additive technologies are both the capacity to rapidly produce very complex 3D structures with controlled pore sizes, and the ability to use various raw materials This paper presents a modeling, several simulations and topology optimization with single load distribution to predict and optimize both mechanical and vascular behavior of ideal scaffolds for medical applications
