چکیده مقاله
Density currents are flow of one fluid within another of a different density The head is the leading edge of density currents In the present paper, the effect of artificially roughened beds using conic roughness elements on the head concentration, velocity and height is investigated experimentally Three rough beds as well as a smooth bed were examined The observed trend is that as the surface roughness increases the head concentration and velocity decrease while the head height increases It was also found that the aforementioned trends occur at higher rates as the beds get rougher
