چکیده مقاله
The quality of water in the Kashkan River KR is vital importance to the people who live on its catchment The aim of this study was to apply Water Quality Index WQI to evaluate variation of surface water quality in the KR To apply WQI, the variations in concentrations of major water quality constituents measured periodically from 1994 to 2009 at 10 monitoring stations on the KR were used This study has highlighted that water quality in the KR has been slightly deteriorated since 2000 Moreover, Jelhool sub basin has worse water quality than the other sub basins in the watershed
