This work aims to study the hydrogen evolution from the TiH2 powder coated by electroless Ni P alloy layer The behavior was studied at the temperature of 1200 oC A one pot electroless technique from a solution, containing nickel chloride, sodium hypophosphite, and sodium succinate was adopted to provide a layer of Ni P on the TiH2 powders The surface morphology and chemical composition of the electroless deposited Ni P layer were studied using field emission scanning electron microscopy FESEM and energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy EDS , respectively The EDS results showed that the Ni P coated TiH2 powders contain 97 5 wt % Ti, 1 52 wt % Ni, and 0 32 wt % P The FESEM image shows the porosities are formed over the powders surface when they are heat treated at 1200 oC
