Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome PCOS is the most current endocrine disorder in women of childbearing age and the most common cause of infertility without ovulation that cannot be diagnosed with apparent symptoms This study aimed to evaluate the biomarkers of oxidative stress including Nitric oxide NO for the diagnosis of PCOS Methods: The keywords oxidative stress, polycystic ovary syndrome, and free radical products such as NO were searched in the PubMed, EMBASE, MEDLINE, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases All data were analyzed using Comprehensive Meta Analysis V3 software Results: 13 observational studies from 1995 to 2022 with a sample size of 721 women were reviewed and showed that change Nitric oxide levels in women with PCOS Result showed a significantly lower NO level SMD= 0 59; 95% CI, 1 15, 0/03; P= 0 000; I2 > 75% in the PCOS group compared with the control In addition, meta regression showed that relationship was found between BMI and NO level P= 0 02 Conclusion: Monitoring of specific free radical product biomarkers such as NO might be beneficial to the diagnosis and prognosis of PCOS
