چکیده مقاله
The growing increase in the use of personal transportation and inadequate attention to thepublic transportation system has led to traffic and environmental disturbances in the city Thedevelopment of cycling as a travel vehicle plays role in replacing motor vehicles andencouraging not using them in urban transport However, in the current situation, the citizensof Tehran are reluctant to use bicycles as a means of daily transportation According to theseconditions, this research aims to investigate effective factors in persuading citizens to usebicycles in the Tehran metropolis The research method is descriptive analytical, exploratory,and applied The research tools were two questionnaires in the form of statistics and pairwisecomparison which were distributed as snowballs in the region among the two statisticalcommunities respectively 342 individuals for the first questionnaire and 25 individuals fromrelated officials in the municipality Among the results are: individual factors and promotionalways are effective to persuade cycling in the non organizational dimension, planners shouldprioritize infrastructure and sub criteria of paying attention to climate and topographicconditions to train bicycle use
