A membrane is a thin layer capable of selectively separating the components of mixtures Polyphenyleneoxide PPO is a popular material for film production due to its high glass transition temperature and lowwater absorptivity NIPS is a commonly used technology for preparing polymeric membranes because of itsadaptability In this study, the effect of the composition ratio between PPO and the solvent 1, 2 dichloroethane on the contact angle and morphology of membranes prepared by the NIPS method isinvestigated According to result obtained, with an increase in the polymer weight percentage, the contactangle increases The 14M membrane 14wt % PPO, 86wt % solvent , is considered a more hydrophilicmembrane with a contact angle of 72 874° Cross sectional SEM images shows a uniform, symmetricsponge like structure throughout the thickness
