Surge tanks are one of the equipment used to prevent undesirable pressure increases and decreases in water systems due to surge wave stress The basis of the operation of these tanks is based on the principle that they act as a storage tank When the pressure inside the pipeline increases, the fluid enters the tank from inside the pipeline and is stored in it, thereby preventing rapid changes in velocity These tanks are of two types: two way wave absorber tanks and one way wave absorber tanks In this work, advanced pressure sensors and modem were used to detect the pressure wave up to one second In this work, three electro pumps delivered the maximum design flow rate 130 liters per second from the ground reservoir to the air reservoir Therefore, water hammer analysis stress on the pipe was performed for three pumps operating at a flow rate of 130 liters per second The stress on the pipe support was in the numerical range of 0 000 to 0 0700 m The maximum stress value was calculated to be 3 3535E 7 Pascal and the maximum deformation of the pipe due to the applied stress was 1 9287E 5 meters
