چکیده مقاله
Air pollution constitutes a significant environmental and public health concern, particularly in rapidly urbanizing regions Fine particulate matter PM 2 5 and PM 10 poses a significant health risk due to its capacity to penetrate the lungs and bloodstream, resulting in cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, as well as premature mortality The present study evaluated the health implications of protracted PM exposure in Isfahan, Iran, during 2024, employing the Air Q model and Geographic Information System GIS analysis The annual mean PM 2 5 concentrations 70 64–133 41 µg/m³ exceeded the World Health Organization WHO guidelines more than tenfold The estimated premature mortality rate among adults over 30 years of age ranged from 162 to 358 deaths per 100,000 individuals, thereby underscoring a considerable health burden A Geographic Information System GIS analysis revealed elevated levels of particulate matter PM in industrial and high traffic regions, underscoring the predominant role of anthropogenic activities in contributing to air quality issues
