The current study aimed to evaluate the nutritional potential of some rangeland plants by in vitro gas production kinetic in the Torbat e Jam region using a meta analysis approach In the meta analysis, the effect size of all outcomes was reported as a standardized means difference with 95% confidence intervals Q test and I2 were calculated to determine the heterogeneity A significant increase in 24 h in vitro gas production, potential gas production, and the fractional rate of gas production was observed The values of I2 and Q for 24 h gas production, bgas, and cgas effect size indicated high heterogeneity No publication bias was found for 24 h gas production, and bgas With the evaluation of funnel plots, only one study on the right of each plot indicates publication bias for cgas Considering the variations among studies, the current meta analysis showed that the produced fermentation parameters can be affected by different rangeland plant incubation Overall, it seems that most of the Torbat e Jam rangeland plants species have high nutritional value in ruminant feeding However, further in vivo and in vitro studies are required to assess the other nutritional aspects and their effects on animal performance
