Digital disruption has made the shift from a manufacturing based neoclassical economy to aknowledge economy happen faster City strategies have also been about creating the right placesfor the emergence of the knowledge economy Innovation hubs are now focusing more on helpingknowledge based industries and workers Even though we don't know much about how to planand build these innovation hubs in neighbourhoods, most academic research has focused on theissues related to knowledge economy in larger regional and city scale This paper wants to givesuggestions for making and growing proper innovation hubs in local neighbourhoods This paperwill talk about urban innovation districts, which are the new kind of innovation hubs in cities Theway we will study this is by looking at interdisciplinary literature, and then applying the contentanalysis The findings of the study reveal insights into attributes that need to be considered whileplanning, designing, and managing innovation districts
