The release of wastewater treatment WWT has become a serious environmental issue Meanwhile, microalgae based WWT has received great attention owing to its low cost,and environmentally friendly advantages In this research, the WWT ability ofmicrolage was improved by cultivating Chlorella Sorokinana under different lightwavelength At first, C Sorokinana was cultivated under different light color includingblue ~ 470 nm , green ~ 550 nm , red ~ 700 nm and white 400 700 nm and thefinal biomass was recorded Also, the concentration of COD during 10 days ofcultivation was measured According to the results, under the blue light color,microalgae biomass improved from 1 12 g/L white to 1 296 g/L and showed the mostsignificant increase in comparison to the red color with 1 12 g/L and the green with0 875 g/L biomass production Consequently, it was observed that the blue light couldalso increase COD uptake ability of the microalgae and increase the mass balance from196 4 to 202 mg/g biomass This was attributed to the greater impact of this wavelengthon microalgae metabolism The results of this research suggested a promising andenvironmentally friendly approach to increase the biological wastewater treatment
