چکیده مقاله
One of the most important challenges facing most countries in the world is the accumulation of depositsin their reservoirs in the debate about dams This sedimentation occurs in the form of a delta upstreamof the reservoir and because of the deposition of coarse grained material, fine graining is deposited nearthe dam body, as well as sediment condensation toward the dam body These can cause problems andlosses, including: Reducing reservoir capacity, disrupting flood control activities by reducing the usefulvolume of the reservoir, evaporation of the reservoir surface due to increased area of water, rising levelsWater and as a result flooding of the land around the dam, raising the surface water of the groundwaterand draining the land, rubbing the turbine blades due to the arrival of water with sediments, the entry ofsediments into the valve in the dam body and its performance impairment, Sediment sedimentation intunnels and drainage channels, which reduces the transmission capacity and damages to these structures
