Digital literacy, as the ability to effectively use information and communication technologies, has a profound impact on English language education With the spread of the Internet and access to online resources, language learners can now access environments rich in information and educational content These environments include websites, videos, podcasts and language learning apps that help to learn and practice the language One of the positive aspects of digital literacy is that language learners can connect with others from all over the world Social platforms and online groups allow people to exchange cultures and languages These real interactions can help improve speaking and listening skills and increase learners' confidence Additionally, online tutorials and virtual courses allow learners to learn at their own pace They can watch the videos over and over again, do the exercises whenever they want, and access additional resources This educational freedom increases motivation and interest in learning Meanwhile, the use of various learning tools such as flashcards, language learning games and online tests make language learning more interesting and effective Also, data analysis in digital education allows teachers to closely track student progress and provide targeted feedback However, digital literacy requires attention and training If learners fail to take advantage of technology, they may face challenges such as misinformation and digital distractions Therefore, teaching digital literacy as a basic skill along with language learning seems necessary Digital literacy allows language learners to learn actively and independently and benefit from diverse educational experiences This evolution in English language education has a positive impact on learning opportunities and helps to grow and develop language skills
