In today's age which is known as the communication age, technology plays an important role in our lives Also, the need to learn English, as an international language, has increased and become a necessity Social media, as a part of this technology, can affect our communications, skills, and lives This study investigates the impact of social media on English language learning in teenagers and examines whether social media can help teenagers to learn the English language or not For this purpose, 50 participants aged 15 18 were randomly selected from Ilam's teenagers To gain data, a self made questionnaire, to analyze the obtained data, SPSS software version 26, and to check the study's validity and reliability chi square test was used The analysis of the obtained data showed that social media platforms positively affected English language learning in teenagers The most positive impact was associated with English listening skill and the least positive impact was associated with English writing skill Based on this study, social media platforms can be useful to improve English language learning in teenagers
