The emergence of art as a human activity arises from different social, cultural and otherconditions of any society The diversity of art, which is a carrier for the emergence of afacet of these systems, is due to the difference in their expression and description Architecture and painting as two branches of art, like many other arts, have manysimilarities in different dimensions of meaning and form Undoubtedly, recognizing thesimilarities and the quality of its use in each of the arts, which is rooted in historical andsometimes religious connections, helps us in understanding these concepts correctly andmore fully Here, the question of the common features between architecture and paintingof the Timurid period as two artistic manifestations in this era becomes important withthe aim of understanding them more correctly The relationship between architecturalart and painting as a traditional art is one of the concepts that can be adapted due to theirprinciples as well as their constituent elements In this research, finding out the social,political, and cultural conditions of the Timurid period and comparative study, it hasbeen tried to answer the question, what are the similarities between architecture andpainting of the Timurid period In this article, after a brief overview of the mentionedperiod and the description of both arts at that time, we will explain the points ofcommonality between them The research method in this research is based on the studyof library documents, historical interpretive, and in the phase of investigating theirrelationship, it is descriptive analytical The results show that architecture and paintingin this period will have commonalities in terms of content meaning and form visual
