Metaverse is a new type of social network in which new types oftechnologies have been integrated and has the characteristics of multi technology, sociality and super spatio temporal In the metaverse world,people play in the form of online Avatars in 3D The main purpose of thispaper is to identify the new opportunities, impact and applications ofMetaverse on Technology Enhanced Learning TEL and state its problemsand challenges In this regard, in this paper, we will examine thecharacteristics of Metaverse and the technologies used in this space and therole and application of each on virtual education, and finally, the issues andchallenges of using this technology are described Studies have shown thatthe augmented reality feature, high speed of accessing to information, three dimensional space and increased interaction between people in Metaverse,has a significant impact on virtual education Also, in this paper, we willprovide a brief description of the plan to create classrooms in the Metaverseenvironment at Kish nternational Campus of Sharif University of Technology
