A molecularly imprinted polymer MIP was synthesized and evaluated to selectively extraction of Monte Lukast Sodium in human biological fluids The synthesis of the MIP was performed polymerization sol gel method using methacrylic acid MAA as the functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate EGDMA as the cross linker monomer, Azo bisisobutyronitrile as the primer and Monte Lukast Sodium template as the target drug FT IR spectroscopy, UV VIS spectrophotometry, Thermo Gravimetric Analysis TGA and Scanning Electron Microscopy SEM were performed to interpret the specific recognition ability, the binding process and the characteristics of MIPs In this study, solid phase extraction using the imprinted polymer has been optimized with the experimental design approach for Monte Lukast Sodium with regard to the critical factors which influence the molecular imprinted solid phase extraction efficiency such as sample pH, volume of elution solvent, washing solvent and sorbent mass Batch rebinding capacity of Monte Lukast Sodium was determined from the derived Longmuir isotherm and was found to be 15 04 mg/g¹ The recovery and limit of detection for blood plasma and urine sample were 96% and 2 50 ugL, respectively The results showed that, compared with other reports, MIPS synthetized in this study showed high adsorption capacity besides specific recognition ability in human plasma and urine HPLC analysis has confirmed the high extraction recovery of Monte Lukast Sodium, from plasma and urine samples with use of proposed MIP SPE system
