چکیده مقاله
Arsenic, recognized as a carcinogenic substance, poses an environmental hazard when present in water and soil sources at concentrations surpassing acceptable levels The contamination of water and soil with arsenic stands as the primary pathway for its introduction into the human food chain Arsenic manifests in the environment in both organic and inorganic forms, with inorganic forms exhibiting higher toxicity due to their increased solubility and mobility Methods for arsenic detoxification from water are categorized into three types: physical, chemical, and biological The selection of a method is influenced by factors such as cost effectiveness, environmental compatibility, absence of toxic residues, arsenic classification, and ease of operational implementation This article delves into the levels and factors influencing arsenic concentration and classification in water, followed by an exploration of methods for its removal and detoxification, with a particular focus on adsorption techniques
