In this study, halloysite tubular nanoclay was applied as a template for the synthesis of HNTs@Arg@Fe3O4@HPA magnetic catalysts for the first time Then, it was characterized with the FT IR, XRD, TGA, EDX Map, FE SEM, TEM, BET, ICP MS, and DLS techniques The nanocomposites resulting from these studies were used in the synthesis of spiro 2 amino 4H cromene and 1,2,4 triazolidine 3 thione derivatives in room temperature The HNTs Arg Fe3O4@HPA catalyst showed promising features for the reaction, such as shorter reaction time, high product yields about 90–95% , simple workup, easy removal, and reusability of the catalyst for up to 5 times without significant loss in its efficiency This has made the protocol sustainable and economic
