This research studies the Dv Index as one of the scientific value indices in assessing the potential of geosites using analytical statistical techniques and digital geomorphic processing in the Southwest of Lut Desert in a basic and preliminary way This index reflects the scientific variation in geomorphologic and geomorphotectonic features Descriptively, the presence of a wide range of geomorphic elements and processes in this region provides a suitable platform for geotourism, but numerically, we try to estimate the Hadžić model index for the first time Therefore, it will be possible to estimate the geotouristic scientific value of the region with other scientific value indices of the model For this purpose, the geomorphic slope analysis is considered as one of the main controllers of Dv Index The preliminary results indicate the acceptability of the preliminary parameters of the scientific value index If other values are high, the potential of the geotourism industry will be high in the study area
