چکیده مقاله
A cell vertex form of Finite Volume FV formulation is developed for the analysis of transversely loaded plate The Mindlin Reissner plate theory is utilized A code is developed based on the method Some test cases are analysed and the results are compared with the standard finite element results in terms of accuracy When using a Mindlin Reissner based finite element formulation locking occurs in thin plate analysis, but for the FV formulation locking behaviour is not observed and results converge to the analytical targets
