In this study, the vibration and stability of orthotropic plates, moving on an elastic foundation or elastic supports and subjected to in plane forces, are investigated by classical plate theory An exact solution based on the dynamic stiffness methods is developed for multi span moving plates on elastic foundation the capacity of the proposed methods investigated by some examples the natural frequencies and critical speed of such plates obtained by the method can be served as a benchmark for checking the accuracy of other numerical methods
