The capacity of highways is always a question with increasing traffic volumes So it has to be checked on regular basis on important routes There is a big issue in Rawalpindi Pakistan area that the traffic is mounting day by day and the intersections are not enough able to facilitate the bulk of traffic In the paper, the current conditions of the intersections on Marrir Chowk are discussed The traffic data was collected and some solutions and alternatives are recommended to accommodate the ever increasing volumes of traffic Level of service is also calculated on the different branches so that clear picture may be perceived
