چکیده مقاله
In this paper a comparison is attempted between theory and measurement concerning the free hydraulic jump in inclined angle φ rectangular open channels The one dimensional equation for the jump is presented and some older measurements by the author as well These measurements concern the area A under the mean free surface jump profile, the corresponding weight W and its K correction factor, the length of the jump and the directly measured conjugate depths ratio, δe A and K are introduced in the one dimensional jump equation to support it This equation is solved to give the final conjugate depths ratio tf δ based on theory and Atf, Ktf δe and tf δ are close between them for small angles φ and Froude numbers Fr1 , while they increasingly deviate for large angles φ and Froude numbers
