چکیده مقاله
Impact pile driving in urban areas could generate vibrations which could result in loss of human comfort and structural damage Therefore, predicting and measuring vibrations before construction is crucial This paper investigates ground vibrations induced by continuous impact pile driving using explicit dynamic finite element FE analysis with ABAQUS software Employing an axisymmetric numerical model enhanced by the Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian ALE adaptive mesh method, the study captures pile soil interaction realistically without resorting to typical simplifying assumptions such as pre bored holes or rigid pile representations The model simulates continuous penetration of an elastic precast concrete pile into homogeneous silty clay soil, incorporating realistic soil pile friction and an advanced damping boundary to minimize artificial reflections Validation against empirical field data and previous numerical studies confirms that the developed model accurately predicts peak particle velocities PPV and pile penetration behavior Additionally, this model configuration achieved full pile penetration in significantly less time compared to earlier simulations, highlighting its practical efficiency advantages Results demonstrate improved simulation accuracy and computational efficiency, offering significant benefits for predicting and mitigating vibration related risks during pile driving operations near sensitive structures
