چکیده مقاله
Safety challenges in construction projects necessitate innovative solutions to enhance compliance and mitigate risks A critical research gap exists in understanding how cognitive processes, such as attention, memory, and decision making, influence and are influenced by adherence to safety protocols on construction sites This area has been underexplored in traditional safety management This study investigates these relationships through a broad literature review Analyzing the correlation between cognitive workload, environmental stressors like fatigue and high task demands, and safety performance Work environments are evaluated for their design's impact on cognitive awareness, safety equipment placement is assessed to optimize visibility and response times, and training programs are developed tailored to cognitive principles Engineering solutions, including augmented reality and virtual reality for immersive training, site layout redesigns for improved hazard recognition, and real time monitoring systems, are proposed and implemented Metrics such as accident rates and protocol adherence are established as viable tools for assessing the effectiveness of these interventions Significant limitations are noted in the study's reliance on a narrow set of case studies and the need for broader empirical validation, underscoring areas for refinement This work lays the groundwork and proposes a novel framework for future neuroscientific exploration, aligning engineering strategies with human cognitive capabilities
