چکیده مقاله
In the layout problem, the main objective is to find the best facility layout to save on the time required for goods transfer as well as the cost of equipment setup and goods transportation This arrangement takes into account the sequence of operations, safety considerations, cycle times at workstations, and available resources In this study, a new layout design for facilities in a PVC sheet production factory is proposed and compared with the previous design In this regard, a mathematical programming model has been developed to determine the optimal layout of the PVC sheet production facility in such a way that minimizes the transportation time of goods and the cost of facility setup This model considers the placement of various production sections The results of the model indicate its effectiveness in determining the optimal facility layout
