چکیده مقاله
In this paper the optimal number and location of Unified Power Flow Controller UPFC is discussed to minimize generation cost, transmission line losses and overload in a specified period Control parameters, the optimum number and line of UPFC is determined to install in a test system Then by means of optimal power flow, the loss decrement and voltage stability improvement will be demonstrated Ultimately a comparison between UPFC cost and grid cost reduction due to the UPFC installation is carried out in a 5 years period to manifest whether applying UPFC is economical or not By using combination of UPFC and smart grid idea, optimal location of load buses is specified to minimize overload in peak load hours by shedding some amount of these load The results approve proposed method validation in system condition improvement
