We report on the design and analysis of ultra small mode volume v H0 type photonic crystal nanocavity The proposed structure consists of two hexagonal lattices of air holes which shaped in triangular array with various geometries, drilled in silicon membrane In this study we achieved thesmallest mode volume in the field of photonic crystal cavities at the wavelength of 1454 nm This value is incredibly 550 times smaller than the smallest mode volume reported so far The low mode volume enhances the optimum coupling in the photonic devices
