چکیده مقاله
In this study, the effects of car ownership and its usage in daily travel have been studied All urban zones in the city of Tabriz which are in different social and economic characteristics levels of car ownership are selected The result show that there is a perfect and positive relationship between car ownership and commuting in the city which is more or less different in traffic zones of Tabriz due to social and economic differences But in general, this assumption that car ownership increases urban trips is proven Car ownership has been recognized as an effective parameter in creating and increasing urban trips To understand whether or not there is a relationship between these two variables, Pearson s correlation coefficient has been used Also GIS program used to show better the impact of private cars The results of this analysis show that there is a positive correlation between car ownership and intra city trips
