چکیده مقاله
In this study, a pulsed Nd:YAG laser welding machine was used for experimental tests, and SYSWELD software was employed for numerical investigation using a 3D model for thermodynamic and mechanical analysis The welding speeds of 0 5, 1, and 2 mm/s and voltages of 440, 460, and 480 V were considered as variables in these experiments Samples made of L316 stainless steel with a thickness of 1 mm were used The simulation results showed a high degree of agreement above 90% with the experimental results Analysis of the experimental and numerical data revealed that the weld dimensions increased with increasing voltage and decreasing welding speed Furthermore, with increasing welding speed and voltage, the heat distribution in the workpiece became more non uniform, and the residual stress in the sample increased Microhardness results also indicated that, in addition to the weld metal being harder than the base metal, increasing the welding speed and decreasing the voltage led to an increase in the hardness of the weld metal This research demonstrates the influence of laser welding parameters on the properties of the workpiece and provides better insight and understanding of the parameters to achieve desirable properties, improve the mechanical properties of the part, and reduce residual stresses in the component using the finite element method
